There are so many lyrics in Casting Crowns songs that the Holy Spirit has used to stir my heart, it is very hard to pick just one! But because the name of this site is "Until the whole world hears us" I will pick "Ready yourselves"...now that is a lyric for the deep end of the pool. The whole song is one excellent lyric after another.

well i have too many favorites of Casting Crowns (I love ALL their songs)...my favorite lyric of "Until The Whole World Hears" would be "Lord, let Your sleeping giant rise, Catch the demons by suprise Holy nations sactified Let this be our battle cry"...

You are SO right about UTWWH, everytime I hear it on the radio, I'm blown away by the lyrics.
My favorite CC lyric is probably from Voice of Truth..

My favorite lyric
I agree, there are many CC songs that touch me, and that God has used to help heal me. I was a Mormon for 13 yrs, I was taught the Bible wasn't trustworthy and I should trust in my feelings to show me truth. Well, in their song East to West there's a line that goes "I can't live by what I feel, but by the truth your word reveals", this really spoke to me and said exaclty what God was showing me during this time in my life.

My favorite lyrics are from Praise you in the storm and are the lyrics, "Once again, I say, "amen", and its still raining. I think this song reminds me that just because I pray for things to go "my way", doesn't mean they will and doesn't mean it will happen right after I say "amen"....as the song suggests, "its still raining!".
I played this song over and over 4 1/2 years ago when my son Riley had a liver transplant. He was only 4 at the time. This song got me through so much and reminded me to Praise God even in the storm! Today, my son is 9 and if lives a normal life! Although we have to watch him when he gets sick and sometimes take other precautions, they are not enough for us to not live life to the fullest!

My favorite lyric:
From "East to West": "You know just how far the East is from the West, from one scarred hand to the other."
For me, that line provides such a vivid image of Jesus with his arms outstretched on the cross.
The most shocking and worrysome:
From "While You Were Sleeping": "United States of America, looks like another silent night, as we're sung to sleep by philosophies that save the trees and kill the children." and later "America what will we miss while we are sleeping? Will Jesus come again and leave us slumbering where we lay?"
I agree there's something terribly wrong when it seems that many teens and even younger children have lost all respect for their elders and are running wild and committing crimes. I wonder what philosophies they are referring to. Could it be "spare the rod and spoil the child"?
When Jesus comes again, how will we recognize him compared to all the false ones who only claim to be Jesus or God? How can we know these are false ones and not the true Jesus?
